I am working with a Global Aerospace Manufacturing Group who are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain to join their business. In this role you will you will be managing the supply chain function end to end and will have departmental responsibility for all end to end supply chain activity through a team of 5 direct reports including materials, planning, logistics, forecasting & warehousing.

The Role of Head of Supply Chain:

In this role you will be challenged with ensuring the smooth running of the supply chain whilst strategically looking to develop the function moving forwards. On top of be a key site figure for the delivery of the overall sales and operations planning process, other responsibilities will include;

  • Deliver strategies for the Logistics and Transport team

  • Demand & Supply Scheduling process - Sales forecast through to scheduling of production

  • Customer Service

  • Bulk Scheduling - Bulk availability to meet the production schedule

  • Managements of 3rd Party Logistics providers - Service and financial performance, contract renewal evaluation and NPD requirements

The suitable candidate will ensure that the supply to the customer is maintained whist pulling together all aspects of the supply chain function to create a lean manufacturing process. You will be tasked with developing the team; ensuring key KPI's and targets are met.

The Candidate

The suitable candidate will ensure that the supply to the customer is maintained whist pulling together all aspects of the supply chain function to create a lean manufacturing process. You will be tasked with developing the team; ensuring key KPI's and targets are met and driving a World Class Supply Chain strategy.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to a minimum degree level and have experience of managing complex global supply chains. Ideal backgrounds will include Automotive or Aerospace industry sectors.

  • 5 years+ Supply Chain Management experience in a senior role

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with external parties,

  • Customer Facing- Professional in other company's sites as well as with SBU directors and their own teams

  • Worked in large manufacturing environment

  • CMILT or MLIAT
