H&S Manager

Birmingham (3 locations)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + car allowance

As Health, Safety Manager, you will help develop, drive and ensure the implementation of the organisation's H&S objectives in order to drive excellence and create value through improved organisational performance. You will also be in charge of a team of Health and Safety officers

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Experience within a Automotive, Aerospace or Rail environment

  • COSHH, IOSH Qualified

  • NEBOSH

  • Dimploma

  • Minimum of 4 years in a HSE Management position

  • Experience of EH&S in a manufacturing Environment

  • Experience of actively working with the regulatory body (HSE)

  • Excellent H&S Law Knowledge

  • Negotiation Skills to convince managers of the need to implement H&S requirements

  • A proven track record in H&S management

  • A hands on attitude

Health, Safety & Environmental Manager Principle Accountability's

  • Maintain knowledge of current, health and safety laws and regulations and monitor the development of new laws and regulations.

  • Conduct regulatory analyses and develop effective and efficient H&S management systems designed to assure compliance.

  • Develop and drive the EH&S plan for the organisation in order to pursue H&S excellence, ensuring appropriate KPIs are in place.

  • Carry out Health & Safety based learning interventions in order to ensure individuals are aware of their responsibilities

  • Provide expert H&S advice to the organisation in order to generate and promote a positive H&S culture

  • Conduct the necessary audits and manage the accreditation process

  • Investigations and risk assessments

  • Presentations and Reports
