HSE MANAGER

GLOBAL MANUFACTURING BUSINESS (AEROSPACE)

£60,000- £65,000+ Package & Hybrid Working

We are working a fantastic new role for a leading manufacturing business based in the Birmingham area who produce key products into the aerospace and aviation sector and are looking for a career driven HSE Manager to join their Senior leadership team! The Role

Reporting Directly to the site Director, the HSE Manager will manage all health, safety & environmental risks/opportunities on site, leading a small team and clearly communicating solutions to the Executive Team. Key duties in the role will include;

• Create a strategy to support the business needs in terms of Health, Safety and Environment.
• Review and develop safety and environmental policies, procedures and guidance, in keeping with best practice and make recommendations on their implementation and application.
• Promote good safety and environmental practices throughout all company activities.
• Provide independent professional advice and technical information where appropriate, to the Executive Team and all line managers
• Devise, develop and monitor effective risk management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies.
• Ensure that Risk Assessments are in place and regularly reviewed as and when changes occur.
• Identify opportunities for continuous environmental improvement and implement programmes to deliver these.
• Prepare monthly HSE reports to the Executive Team and conduct an annual HSE Management Review.

The Person

To be considered, the HSE Manager will need to be highly motivated, career driven and be someone who fits the following key criteria;

• 5 years+ experience in HSE, with experience working in a senior/ head of capacity (or similar)
• Experience in manufacturing environments is essential
• experience in management of people would be an advantage, but not essential
• NEBOSH qualified
