Interim Production Manager / 3 Month Initial Contract / North Manchester

We are currently looking for an experienced Production Manager on behalf of a manufacturing business based in the Bury area.

THE ROLE:

The successful candidate will take on management responsibility for a manufacturing section of our customers business. You will be tasked with bringing leadership, supervision and stability to an area of the business in need of management support.

This is a hands on role that will require the successful candidate to spend the majority of their time leading the shop floor operatives.

The company manufacture products to customer order and as such would suit someone comfortable working in an agile, reactive environment with short manufacturing lead times.

KEY OBJECTIVES:

• Lead and supervise shop floor operatives whilst developing a strong team mentality and work ethic.

• Put team KPI's and standards in place.

• Raise standards in quality and individual performance.

• React quickly to incoming orders, ensuring the needs of the customer are met in full.

• Manage and resolve team conflict issues quickly, minimising the effect on the business.

THE PERSON:

Based out of the customers manufacturing facility, the ideal Interim Production Manager will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience leading production teams within manufacture, specifically within an industry known for their high quality standards

• Strong people management / leadership skills.

• Lean Manufacturing Experience

• Experience putting structure / process in place within a manufacturing environment.

• Quality driven approach.

• Self starter comfortable fire fighting as and when required
