QHSE Advisor

Contract / Interim - 6 Month Term

Our client now looking for a QHSE Advisor to join the business during a busy period of change within the business. You'll be tasked with advising on all QHSE Matters, leading the QHSE management systems and also ensure all policies and procedures are compliant to current legislation and standards


  • Advise all employees on compliance to Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety legislation, requirements and best practice.

  • Co-ordinate activities to ensure the company's integrated management system remains current with legislation and our certification requirements for ISO 9001/14001/OHSAS18001.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of HSE requirements and ensure policies and procedures are updated accordingly and in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Develop and maintain safety processes and procedures along with developing training programs for each area to improve safety results.

  • Develop monitoring and auditing process to eliminate near misses and accidents.

  • Create the yearly audit plan and coordinate regular reviews, assessments and audits of the integrated management system, including those by external certification bodies.

  • Proof-read, verify format and document classification and conformance to standard templates on all documents uploaded to the database.

  • Generate monthly reports to provide accurate performance overview against KPIs, for all departments.

  • Generation of QEHS statistics in accordance with reporting requirements.

  • Coordinate improvement action programmes resulting from the review and audit processes.

  • Participate in, and support, internal teams to achieve conformance.

  • Act as focal point for IMS related issues and provide IMS training to new starters.

  • Seek opportunities to introduce improvements and drive best practice in IMS management

  • Conduct internal audits when required.


  • NEBSOH Certificate

  • An experienced SHEQ professional with a track record of working in a manufacturing environment.

  • ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 standards knowledge.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.

  • Able to influence and persuade others.

  • IT literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Confident giving presentations to team members and senior managers.

  • Flexible approach as travel to other sites will be required on occasion
