Interim Supply Chain Consultant
Automotive (Tier 1)
6 Month Contract
Our client based in the West Midlands area is searching for a Supply Chain Consultant / Interim Supply Chain Manager to join the business on an initial 6 month contract.
The successful candidate will be joining the business during a period of significant change and will be tasked with getting to grips with a number of failings within the supply chain in order to correct them and get the business back on to a stable footing.
Once this has been done you will be required to map out the future state of the site whilst also leading the implementation of supply chain processes within a new area of their business.
In addition to the above you will also be tasked with getting to grips with an ERP implementation that is falling behind schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a team consisting of materials, planning, logistics and stores
Lead the resolution of logistical issues within the plant
Manage a supply of goods and materials to support the production program
Achieve business targets in terms of inventory turns, cost reductions, supplier performance metrics etc
Promote a high performance culture within Supply Chain function
Manage working capital with regards to Inventory management and supplier payment
Develop and maintain third party shipping providers
Lead management of key supplier relationships; encouraging value-based strategic partnerships
Forge strong working relationships with the customer
The ideal Supply Chain Consultant / Interim Supply Chain Manager will need to be driven and be able to show true leadership qualities.
Key experiences required:
Must have Tier 1 Automotive experience supplying into Jaguar LandRover (JLR)
Significant experience with managing a team, ideally in a high volume environment
Automotive supply experience is essential
A proven track record of enhancing a supply chain and delivering on projects
Familiar with MRP and ERP systems
