Junior Mechanical Engineer

We are currently looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer for a rapidly expanding home mobility business that has seen rapid growth over the past few years. This role is based in Andover on a permanent basis with a salary of up to £35,000 dependent on experience.

The Role

• Developing technical plans based on research ideas
• Designing products based on the requirements of the company
• Carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems
• Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
• Producing technical documents that the company requires
• Conducting product testing
• Overseeing quality control programmes and overall maintenance in a facility
• Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy
• Completing data logs required onsite
• Collaborating with Project Managers and developing accurate accounting of all engineering hours required for various types of internal projects

The Person

• 1-3 years' experience working as a mechanical engineer
• Degree qualified or equivalent
• Experience of working within a mechanical engineering capacity
• Strong design experience with full proficiency various CAD packages including Creo, Solidworks, Catia, Inventor or NX (Other packages are considered)
• Strong problem solving skills
