Are you looking for a new challenge within the M&E Estimating sector?

I am looking to speak to Mechanical & Electrical Estimators who have experience working for M&E contractors within the London area. I currently have a number of opportunities available for MEP estimators working on a wide range of different projects ranging from:

  • Commercial Fit-out

  • Residential

  • Health Care

  • Educational

  • Pharmaceutical

  • Data Centres

As a Mechanical & Electrical Estimator with this client, you will be responsible for all your own workload and for looking after the project you are on. You will also be required to be making all of your own decision and will be expected to show initiative.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Estimating team on tenders.

  • Prepare and submit prime cost estimates utilising Enterprise Estimating Software.

  • Liaise with internal and external engineers, consultants and subcontractors to construct and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

  • Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates.

  • Identify and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options.

  • Establish and maintain tendering processes and conduct negotiations.

  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

  • Support and encourage junior team members.

  • Monitor targets and work flow.

  • Control and organise tender documentation.

Personal Specification:

  • Experience working for Mechanical & Electrical sub-contractor.

  • Experience using estimating software packages such a Trimble.

  • The successful Estimator will also need to be proficient using Excel.

  • Ability to work on own initiative with confidence and accuracy.

  • Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates.

  • Prepare and submit prime cost estimates utilising Trimble Estimating Software.
