Are you looking for a new contract role outside of IR35?

I am currently looking to speak to Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyors who are looking for or who are open to a new contract opportunity working for a large MEP sub-contractor on mission critical projects.

The client is an award winning MEP sub contractor who are currently turning over £400M. Due to their continued growth and their project pipeline, this client is looking to add to their commercial team by bring in a MEP Quantity Surveyor or a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis to assist with their current project based in Didcot.

The role:

The contract opportunity will be outside of IR35 due to this opportunity being a short term contract initially but there will be scope for contract to be extended due to the work load.

The successful applicant will be an M&E Quantity Surveyor or Senior M&E QS who is able to work independently and also able to manage their own diary. On a day to day basis you will be reporting into a Commercial Lead on the project and also you will also need to be on site for a minimum of 4 days a week due to the nature of the project.

Day to day role will include:

  • Submission of estimate/ tendering information to the client.

  • Preparation of appropriate documentation.

  • Assisting on VO's.

  • Attending meetings.

  • Presentation of final accounts, including negotiation of all contractual agreements.

  • Close liaison to the client on all commercial matters, including preparation and submission of supporting information.

  • Client variations.

  • Sub-contract variations.

Personal specification:

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveying.

  • 8 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying experience.

  • Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and negotiate with clients on a professional level.

  • Proactive.
