We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager for our prestigious client who are a well-known Automotive Tier 1 supplier based in Merseyside. This is a permanent opportunity with a starting salary between £45,000 - £50,000 dependent on experience.

The Role

You will be responsible for developing and implementing injection maintenance activities in line with HSE requirements, customer expectations and plant objectives ensuring optimum performance against IPIs.

Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Plan, organise and conduct activities within its area in an effective manner towards achieving common objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Corporate and Division HSE objectives and requirements
  • Manage a team of Injection Maintenance Technicians. Manage schedules, training and development to support production, improvement activities and projects.
  • Collate, document and allocate Maintenance jobs to maintain the equipment in full working order for production and drive continuous improvement.
  • Set and manage the maintenance budget and examine department's requirement for capital expenditure
  • Ensure the integration of the maintenance programs within the Plant's Quality system in compliance with IATF requirements.
  • Ensure that the quality of work is to the standard required by the company and respective regulation (i.e. electrical, compressed air, etc…)
  • - Actively participate in all the training (in-house, provided by equipment supplier)
  • Participate in fine tuning, acceptance and final setting of the equipment
  • Participate in maintenance area set up and follow up installation of small CAPEX related to this area

The Person

  • HNC in Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Technician certification with a speciality in several of the following fields (mechanical,
  • electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics)
  • Strong people manager, with the ability to coach, engage and lead a team
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of IATF requirements for maintenance a plus
  • Worked within a similar role, with management experience (essential)
  • Automotive experience (essential)
  • Machine commissioning and rectification experience (essential)
  • PLC & Robotics (essential)
  • Injection experience (desirable)
  • Basic knowledge of stock transactions in SAP or another ERP system (desirable)
