Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace
6 month contract
£Rate - negotiable based on exp.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the manufacturing engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving current methods of manufacture and introducing new methods. They will also ensure all manufacturing is completed to the required specification, quality, timescale, cost etc.
Driving zero defects programme
Monitoring supplier performance
Using quality tools such as Problem Solving, RCA, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, MSA
Validation of corrective actions
Ensuring compliance to process and quality standards
Manufacturing/Mechanical engineering degree
MRP/ERP competency; reviewing/updating data
CAD/Technical drawing experience
Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools
Problem solving experience; RCA, 8D, 5Y
Based in the Midlands, the company supplies into the Aerospace industry, working with several major OEM's including Boeing, Rolls-Royce etc. They have demonstrated year on year growth and have acquired new contracts that require skilled interim manufacturing engineers on a 6 month contract to help drive the business forward during this exciting period of growth.
