Production /Manufacturing Engineer

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, we are currently looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer for a prestigious Aerospace business. Key responsibilities will include;

  • Responsible for developing, delivering and improving manufacturing processes

  • Ensure machinery downtime is kept to a minimum

  • Implementation of production processes and procedures

  • Leading productivity improvements

  • Projects including Manufacturing cell design

  • Reduce waste, improve quality, h&s and costs

  • NPI

  • Shop floor layouts, cell designs

  • Fixture tooling designs

  • Leads, manage & integrate the project manufacturing engineering functions for all projects

  • SOPs and process documentation

  • Support and lead continuous improvement, problem solving and process improvement activities

  • FMEAs, poke yoke

THE PERSON:

Based out of the Warrington office, the ideal Manufacturing engineer will have the following skills and experience;

ESSENTIAL

  • Relevant qualifications

  • Process / Manufacturing/Production Engineering experience

  • CNC experience is essential

  • Ability to use CAD

  • Design processes and layouts

  • FMEA, Poke yoke

  • Ability to read engineering drawings

  • Knowledge of CI & Lean (kanban, SMED, etc)

  • fault finding & problem solving skills

DESIRABLE

  • 3,4 & 5 axis Turning and Milling

  • Mazatrol

  • Engineering degree or equivalent

  • Aerospace

  • Solidworks
