Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace

6 month contract

£Rate - negotiable based on exp.

South West England

The Role:

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving current methods of manufacture and introducing new methods. You also ensure all manufacturing is completed to the required specification, quality, timescale, cost etc.


  • Driving zero defects programme

  • Using quality tools such as Problem Solving, RCA, 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA, MSA

  • Validation of corrective actions

  • Ensuring compliance to process and quality standards

  • Continous improvement/Proces Improvement

  • Shop Floor Support



  • Manufacturing/Mechanical engineering degree/HNC/HND/Several Years' Experience

  • MRP/ERP competency; reviewing/updating data

  • CAD/Technical drawing experience

  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing tools

  • Problem solving experience; RCA, 8D, 5Y

  • PPAP experience

  • FMEA experience


Based in the South West of England, the company supplies into the Aerospace industry, working with several major OEM's including Boeing and Rolls-Royce.

They have demonstrated year on year growth and have acquired new contracts that require skilled interim manufacturing engineers on 6 month contracts to help drive the business forward and optimise their manufacturing facility.
