ROLE

Reporting into the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will part of a small team responsible for engineering all NPI and CI .Your principle accountabilities will include;

  • To assess and specify equipment requirements in support of NPI, Engineering Changes & Change Management Projects

  • specify Manufacturing Routings

  • assist in the calculation of Labour Costing's for NPI and CI projects

  • apply Error proofing techniques to negate build Issues

  • support efficiency activities and volume flex through line balancing

  • assist troubleshooting support

  • produce fully costed, justified Capex Proposals for Equipment Investment Projects

  • input into the development of the Manufacturing Strategy

  • implement the Bill of Process Methodology, including the "Run at Rate" sign off on new equipment

  • implementation of Lean Thinking

  • Identifying, Prioritising and Delivering Projects

  • Delivering Business Benefits through Capital Investment Projects

  • Learning the Variety of Components/ SKU's manufactured on site, and associated Equipment

  • Making material flow smoother

PERSON

The ideal Graduate Manufacturing Engineer will have previous experience of:

  • Graduate with degree ideally in manufacturing engineering/ Automotive or Motorsport

  • Preferable 1 year placement experience within an Automotive environment

& ideally 1-3 years in Industry

DESIRABLE

  • Experience high volume fast paced environment in Manufacturing enviroment

  • Process documentation - PFMEA, Process Flow, SOP, Control Plans

  • Line balancing/capacity analysis experience

  • NPI

  • Jig/Fixture experience

  • Project planning

  • lean tools

  • Change management, methods and improvements in efficiencies

  • Ability to use AutoCAD

  • Use of DFAM

  • Candidates must be highly PC literate

The company are a global Automotive manufacturer. This role for a post Graduate Manufacturing Engineer is based at a commutable distance from Wrexham. They have a healthy order book and the ideal candidate will be looking for the drive to develop within the business.
