Materials & Planning Manager / Warrington / Manufacturing

I am working with an industry leading manufacturing company who are looking for a driven Materials & Planning manager to join their growing team. This is an opportunity to join an exciting business that can offer genuine opportunities for progression and development.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Supply Chain Manager, you will be a key member of the supply chain management team. Your goal is to lead a world class Materials and Planning function. You will have departmental responsibility for a team of 5 Production Planners. You will be responsible for materials scheduling production planning and logistics. Within the function you will need to maintain and enhance a capacity planning function & reliable ERP based planning function

The Person

The Ideal MP&L Manager will need to hold strong leadership skills and have extensive experience leading internal logistics operations within an automotive/ engineering manufacturing environment. Key experiences will include;

* management experience within a fast paced manufacturing industry (FMCG, Automotive etc)

* Extensive ERP & Systems Experience (ideally SAP)

* Knowledge of lean logistics and lean production principles (JIT, Kanban etc,)

* Great communicator and track record of developing successful teams

* Extensive customer & Supplier facing experience
