MATERIALS PLANNING MANAGER- 9 Month Fixed Term Contract

Excellent Opportunity!! I am working with an industry leading manufacturing business based in Liverpool who are extremely busy! They are currently looking to recruit a career focused Planning Manager to join their senior site management team. THE ROLE

Managing a small team, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a robust Materials planning solution to support the achievement of the businesses strategic vision. You will be leading the function , providing a high level of service to internal and external customers. The role will require someone to set out operational KPI's for the team as well as having strategic input into the long term success of the function. You will have visibility and group level in this role. Key responsibilities will include;

• Implement methods, practices and techniques to ensure the most economical movement of materials through the supply chain

• Manage the MRP module of the ERP system to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to meet the production plan & customer orders, ensure data integrity and MRP message adherence

• End to end Materials S&OP management

• Definition of the Inventory Policy and ensure implementation, including consideration of warehouse capacity

• Where available, increasing the efficiency and stability of the Material and Procurement processes

THE CANDIDATE

This a 9 month FTC (not a permanent role) and as such you will need to be available at short notice. The ideal candidate will need to have worked in a process manufacturing environment. Key attributes for the role will be as follows;

• You MUST be IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE

• Strong experience in materials/ Inventory planning within a manufacturing setting

• Self-starter with high energy levels, personal drive and commitment

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify

• Must be competent user of MRP ssytems
