Mechanical Construction Manager

Data Centre General Contractor

€6,000 NET + solo acommodation, rotation & door to door travel

My client are the main contractor on an exciting new build data centre project in Sweden. They have recently won a number of new projects in the data centre sector Europe wide. They are seeking to add a Mechanical Construction Manager to the data centres core team for European projects - starting in Sweden.

The Role

Reporting directly to the the Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will have day to day responsibility for the Mechanical construction onsite. In the role you will work alongside and manage subcontractors on site, lead meetings, and work closely with the end client to ensure key deliverables and targets are met. Key objectives within the Mechanical Construction Manager role will include:

- Setting objectives for other team members, such as package managers, supervisors and engineers

- Has experience in Construction leadership, quality and H+S as these will become part of the day to day role

- Reporting on the different phases of the project and your progression against these to the end client

- Managing the day to day execution of the project

- Manage and monitor the resources across the project, ensuring people have what they need to deliver

- Running the project to CDM standards

The Person

The business are looking for a driven and proactive Construction Manager that is motivated and experienced within this sector. Key criteria for the role will include:

- At least 5 years of experienced working as a Construction Manager

- Must be experienced within the Mission Critical Sector

- Mechanical engineering background

- Excellent communication skills, for the element of dealing with clients and other subcontractors

- Right to work in Sweden is needed to be considered (due to the long wait times on securing work permits, candidates without the right to work in Sweden will be rejected)
