OPERATIONS MANAGER

GLOBAL ENGINEERING

£65,000 - £75,000 plus Car/Bonus Scheme/ benefits

Excellent opportunity for a career driven Operations Manager to join an industry leading, Global Engineering business with a state of the art facility based in the West Yorkshire area.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Group General manager, you will be a senior site figure, overseeing a skilled team across manufacturing/ engineering production/ Warehouse & assembly. Your key KPI's will be focused on maintaining the high standards on site with regards to OTIF delivery/ Quality/ Health & safety and Cost, as well as being a key figure in establishing ongoing continuous improvement programmes on site. You will also need to be a strong leader, and be capable of empowering, training and developing teams. Key responsibilities will include;

  • Ensuring the highest levels of OTIF are maintained
  • Keeping site efficiency's to an optimum level, suggesting positive process improvements wherever possible
  • driving improvements in a multi-skilled environment, achieving set agreed deadlines
  • Ongoing development of the team around you
  • championing best practice across manufacturing

THE PERSON

The ideal Operations Manager will have a strong background working with technical, engineered products and be confident communicating at all levels. On top of strong leadership qualities, key experiences will include;

  • Strong Operations management experience
  • Extensive background working in engineering environments
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills
  • Track record of leading and developing teams
  • Degree/ Industry relevant qualifications (NEBOSH/ SIX Sigma) preferred
