Operations Manager - Manufacturing / FMCG & Consumer
Greater Manchester / West Yorkshire
£70,000 - £80,000 + Company Car Allowance / Competitive Pension / 20% Bonus
An influential business that have a presence in multiple countries and a number of industry defining products. This is a business which has an established market share but is looking to push and disrupt the market with significant capital spend planned. We are looking for ambitious, experienced and driven professionals who have a wealth of experience in FMCG - Ideally Food / Drink / Packaging / Automotive / Consumer or Healthcare - Manufacturing.
A senior leadership position in a key site for the group. The day to day will predominantly focus on driving the manufacturing function to achieve growth and exceptional change within the next 2-3 years. Beyond this you will help shape strategy for the broader functions on site with a lot of exposure to interesting and for some exciting projects already getting underway. This role will give you a high level of visibility within the business which is excellent for those who are ambitious and looking to advance their career.
Ensure that the necessary high standards of quality meet and exceed customer expectations and all accreditation standards including ISO9001, ISO 14001 and food hygiene are maintained
Driving Continuous Improvement and World Class Manufacturing
Degree (technical / manufacturing)
Six-Sigma Black Belt or relevant experience
Demonstrable experience of working and leading lean methodologies in a manufacturing environment.
Experience of process manufacturing
Experience Managing P&L Budgets
Success in implementing and maintaining OEE improvements in production processes with the ability to articulate why and how you were successful.
Excellent verbal and non-verbal reasoning skills.
A strong leader with the tenacity to debate resistance and make things happen.
Prepared to be flexible and open to the need for the role to evolve in what is a dynamic and changing environment.
