Job Title: Planning Manager

Reports to: Operations Director

Location: London

Sector: Commercial/Rail

Salary: £70k - £90k

I am working on behalf of an M&E subcontractor to find them a Planning Manager. They are looking for someone who has successfully led and managed a team of planning engineers. The ideal candidate must have a flare for general management and will have a genuine interest in engaging in the business, including involvement in management meetings. They will have a proven track record of achievement delivering complex projects within Commercial, Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects (EPC).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing support, general programming and planning assistance to Senior Managers and project team members to ensure that the planning and scheduling of work on projects and activities are effectively planned, resourced, and completed

• Supporting the team of Planning Engineers in the application of best practice for project planning and controls

• Ensure all planning and project control processes are implemented across the business

• Work with the project managers, planning engineers and quantity surveyors to ensure reporting requirements are in place including Earned Value Analysis

• Work with Estimating to produce tender programmes, advise risks and opportunities to the Estimating team

Skills & Requirements:

• Expert level knowledge of NEC Contracts

• Experience with managing people

• Worked for sub-contractors before

• Flare for general management

• Proficient user of P6

• Industry related qualification at a degree level
