CI and Plant Development Manager

My client is a world leader within the food manufacturing and looking to recruit a CI and Plant Development Manager based in Greater Manchester.

The role is offering a very competitive salary, 15% bonus, £450/car allowance, 6% for Stock/Shares. The role is reporting directly into the Plant Director and will have a small team of direct reports. There is a succession plan for this person to move into a Plant Director role within a few years.

This person will be in charge of management and leadership of site excellence and CI. Responsible for creating and implementing new strategies to improve whole site.

Responsibilities

  • Design and monitor the Journey of Excellence roadmap comprising of 2 Key elements - Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) & High Performing Organization (HPO), ensuring audit coordination and delivery of action plans.

  • Implementing capital projects that improve or create a CRP or Health and Safety requirements

  • Focal point of all plant change (internal or externally generated):

    • Owns the Authority to Modify (ATM) process

    • Key liaison for R&D, Technical, Procurement, Projects and Commercial development

    • Owns commercialization from plant perspective

    • Represents the plant as technical expert

    • Drives simplification/de-complexity in the plant

    • Support to the Dubai operation, working closely with the Operations Manager.

  • Builds the business case for plant investment, in collaboration with the EMEA project engineering team and finance:

    • Capital control point (financial)

    • Execute directly Projects <$0.1 MM; supports execution with Region for >$0.1 MM

    • Supports strategic capacity planning

    • Application and selection of capital assets.

  • active member of a local strategic team deeply involved in the site strategy preparation and implementation

  • Agree and control budget spend to forecast and budget, manage and control labour costs to agreed budgeted levels

  • KPI setting and drive to delivery based on factual measured data

  • Supporting the Factory Management team, in the development of Functional and Site Improvement activities that cover all aspects of the operation

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in a manufacturing related subject

  • Extensive TMP (Total Productive Maintance) experience

  • Project and Change Management experience

  • Demonstrable experience in an Operations environment, with proven record of target-focused delivery in fast-paced Operational environment

  • Experience of creating strategies to implement across whole site

  • Experience working within Food, Drink, FMCG, Pharma/Med Device manufacturing industry
