Automotive (Logistics / Supply Chain)

West Midlands

£65,000 - £70,000 plus strong benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading Automotive supplier with an international presence and exceptional reputation in the market.

This role is well situated in the West Midlands and commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Telford, Stoke and surrounding areas.

The Role

Reporting to the UK Managing Director you will have full autonomy to manage the day to day Operations of a Tier 1 Automotive logistics operation in the West Midlands. Key tasks are to manage site performance, process improvement, reducing cost, managing customer relations and helping the business in cultural and physical change and ensure delivery of product to customer in the required time, cost and quality. You will manage across all Operations including Operations, Materials, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing and HR.

The Person

We are looking to recruit an experienced Operations leader for our Automotive client based in the West Midlands who can lead, motivate and challenge a team in a highly pressurised, fast paced supply environment.

Ideally candidates will have experience of both the Automotive industry and Logistics but those with Automotive Manufacturing experience will be considered.

Unfortunately for this role candidates without experience of working in an Automotive environment at OEM, Tier 1 or Tier 2 level will not be considered.

This role will involve some real challenges in terms of managing robust teams, supporting business growth, achieving output targets and delivery, managing client relationships, coaching and training. You must be comfortable working in unionised environments. Ideal candidates will be of degree calibre and qualified in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar subject but those without a degree will be considered.
