We are working a fantastic new role for a leading engineering business who produce capital equipment to customers globally. They are going through a significant period of growth and as a result, have an exciting new opportunity for a Production Engineer to join their business. This role has genuine opportunities for career development and progression into Production management.

The Role

This is a superb opportunity for a driven production engineer to join an innovative, premium company with ambitious growth plans. In this role, you will have the chance to work across all processes, including machining, fabrication and Assembly. You will be the driving force behind the company promise to deliver high quality, extremely well engineered products. Some of the key responsibilities associated to this role are:

• Timely production of scheduling the build, liaising closely with supply chain and managing any capacity constraints
• Planning the production of in-house manufactured parts (machined and/ or fabricated parts) required for smooth production of the final product
• Working closely with a team of nearly 20 people across welding, fitting, wiring and testing
• Delivering against key results set, e.g. increasing productivity of each of the teams throughout the production process, such as welding fitting etc.
• Identifying opportunities to improve the production process when and when necessary, structurally minimising warranty, and defects

The Person

The ideal Production engineer for this role will possess the following experience;

• 3years+ in production Engineering role or similar
• Ideally experienced in a range of engineering processes such as machining/ fabrication & Assembly
• An excellent communicator and comfortable taking a leading role in Production meetings
• Highly IT literate
• Educated to HND level or above in mechanical engineering discipline (or similar)
