Production Manager

£45,000 - £50,000 + Benefits

6-2, 2-10 shift pattern

Our client is a leading player in their industry. The purpose of the role will be to optimise production output at the lowest possible cost to the approved company quality standards.

THE ROLE

This role will report to the General Manager and will require someone with strong people management skills. Some key responsibilities for the Production Manager include:

• Achieve agreed production plan within budgeted costs Achieving productivity targets, quality levels, ensuring exemplary health and safety of your team and delivering all this at the minimum costs

• Improving the manufacturing operation performance

• This role will demand good process knowledge

• Manage the team on technical best practice

• Implement and manage continuous improvement activities in conjunction with other relevant departments, which will move the business towards world-class manufacturing

THE PERSON

The ideal Production Manager will be looking for a challenging role within an established organisation. The successful person needs to be competent in lean methodologies and change management.

Essentials for the successful Production Manager are:

• HNC / HND or equivalent in a relevant subject - beneficial

• 5+ years' working as a Production Manager

• 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment

• Proven experience of working in a Lean manufacturing environment
