Automotive Machine Shop

BIRMINGHAM / COVENTRY / STAFFORDSHIRE / TELFORD / WOLVERHAMPTON

We are looking for a determined and focused Production Manager to lead and drive performance at an established and Prestigious Tier 1 Automotive Supplier who specialise in precision engineered components.

This leading manufacturer of automotive components for the Automotive Industry is looking to Expand its Production Team with a strong Production Manager who has experience in a machining or precision engineering environment.

This role is commutable from Birmingham / Coventry / Staffordshire / Telford / Wolverhampton

The Person

  • Production Management Experience

  • Exceptional motivational skills with the ability to autonomously engage a team in a fast moving automotive industry to perform at top capacity and create a pulsating team atmosphere

  • Previous experience using lean, streamlined manufacturing methods is crucial

  • Able to work independently using inventiveness and initiative to solve problems

  • Drives performance to achieve or exceed financial plans and strategic goals

  • Experience in a Machining or Precision Engineering Environment

The Role

  • Report Directly to the Plant Manager

  • Total responsibility for your team performing to Company KPI's, achieving productivity targets and ensuring faultless Health and Safety Standard

  • Ensure Production is done at its minimum cost and new products are introduced without Issue in the machine shop

  • The main focus of this role is to Implement and lead continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation to support the continuous effort for lean manufacturing
