THE ROLE

Reporting to the Operations Director you will have full autonomy to manage the day to day Production of an Aerospace Plant in the North West. This is a senior leadership position in a key site for the group and you will manage across all Production, Engineering, Manufacturing and MPL operations. Responsibilities will include:

  • The day to day will predominantly focus on driving performance, providing clear strategy and direction

  • Lead the manufacturing function within budget and output targets to meet customer requirements and standards

  • Full accountability for ensuring safety, customer quality, cost and delivery requirements are met

  • Team management and development

  • Drive Process and Continuous Improvement & OEE

  • Identify business improvement

  • Plan production in line with customer expectations

  • Deliver KPIs according to production output requirements including delivery and quality & minimising costs

  • Manage NPI and project plans

  • Budget responsibility

  • Attend and lead meetings

  • Reporting and presentations both verbally and written

  • Create plans to continuously strive to meet or exceed contractual arrangements

  • Work with other Production Managers to modify, improve, refine standard operating procedures

  • Optimise performance, cost effectiveness and maintain control of the cost base

  • Identify, manage and implement route causes corrective action to drive improvements

THE PERSON:

ESSENTIAL

  • Aerospace

  • 5 years+ Production management experience

  • Precision experience

  • Lean experience

  • Proven track record of managing large teams

  • Implementing performance management procedures

  • Lead, motivate and challenge a team

  • Managing robust teams

  • Supporting business growth

  • Achieving Manufacturing and Production output targets and delivery, coaching and training
