PROJECT ENGINEER- 12 MONTH CONTRACT

£400- £450 per day (Inside IR35)

SITE LOCATION WIMBOURNE- FLEXIBLE HYBRID WORKING AVAILABLE

Excellent opportunity for a Project Planner/ manager to work on a minimum 12 month contract (strong possibility of extensions beyond this) for an industry leading engineering business based in the Wimborne area.

Key duties in this role will include;

• Providing project engineering/ management capability to develop WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) and PBS (Product Breakdown Structure) in collaboration with the Project Manager and Lead Engineer.
• Develop a comprehensive schedule of logically linked activities, with clear interdependencies, sequencing, critical path(s) and logically structured against WBS.

• Lead the planning /scheduling of activities for projects mainly covering, Electronics, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, Software and Governance domains. Produce a robust delivery schedule that identifies all key touch points, deliverables, milestones etc. that would stand up to scrutiny from both internal/external stakeholder review.
• Attend internal and external customer meetings with Project Manager and Lead Engineer, as required, and identify key activities for capture into the master schedule.
• Actively track progress against schedule and proactively look for ways to improve delivery timescale, reduce cost and reduce/mitigate identified risks.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

• Extensive experience of project management/ scheduling using industry standard planning tools such as MS Project
• Good appreciation of complex interlinked engineering activities and how these would ultimately map into a project schedule.
• Demonstrable experience of proactive risk management.
• Must have or be able to achieve at least SC clearance.
