We are currently looking for an experienced project manager to join a fast paced automotive tier one supplier, who specialise in interior and exterior trim components based in South Wales. This is a permanent role with a salary negotiable dependent on experience.

The Role

You will be responsible for the project management of new product introduction using recognised automotive techniques and defined APQP and Gateway Systems. Other responsibilities include:

• Ensure the effective management of NPI across sites as required, achieving ongoing customer satisfaction
• Organise chair and facilitate ongoing reviews between teams including team members including customer and suppliers ensuring successful introduction of on time and in budget new vehicle programs
• Accomplish project objectives by planning projects activities
• Prepare and progress gateway work plans and revise where appropriate
• Lead new programs launches into the business ensuring on time and in budget liaising with the customer and suppliers
• Work with engineering, manufacturing and purchase to define and document questions to get new requirements

The Person

• Strong project management experience within a fast paced environment.

• Experience of working within an automotive OEM or Tier One supplier

• Excellent stakeholder management with experience of liaising with automotive OEM's

• Strong grasp of APQP and gateway processes essential

• Excellent communication skills

The company are an Automotive Tier One supplier with a great reputation for excellence. They have a strong order book and a number of key accounts that they look after. This role is an international role and you could be working with colleagues in Europe and North America.
