£60,000- £65,000pa + 8% Bonus & excellent company benefits

Excellent, Newly created opportunity!! We are working on an excellent opportunity for a leading engineering business who produce highly specialist engineered products to a truly global customer base. They are going through a significant period of investment within their UK entity and as a result, have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Manager, taking responsibility for technical management within the scope of system development. The Role

Reporting to the Programme Manager, the project manager to join the existing senior team, leading a team to look after end to end Projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for technical management within the scope of system development. They will supervise the system integration and create essential system documents, quantity structures and schedules. Key duties in the role will include;

  • Accompany the tests of the system and create technical decision templates, as well as test concepts and documents.

  • Conduct technical reviews and audits.

  • Responsible for technical risk management and claim management.

  • Manage reporting and present the development results in project status meetings.

  • Take on the technical leadership of the technical development team in UK. In addition, define, plan and control the work packages.

  • Provide POC with customers, partners and suppliers and present offers and technical content.

  • Plan and coordinate system qualifications with external bodies (including environment, EMC, functional safety).

  • Coordination and assurance of internal process flows within the projects.

  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

  • As Project manager, act as contact person for internal and external stakeholders.

The Person

The ideal Project manager will be career driven and highly motivated. Key criteria for this role will be as follows;

  • 3 years+ experience in leading Technical engineering based projects

  • Experience within the software/ electronics sector would be desirable

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Ability to use Microsoft Project or similar

  • Educated to HND level or above in Engineering based discipline
