Project Manager



C. £45,000 - £60,000

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Programmes, you will be responsible for the following

  • Manage the company's gateway process

  • Create project plans & ensure they are live at all times

  • Cradle to grave project management for launches

  • Costs, negotiations, budgeting including raising orders

  • To support all tooling and scheduling status

  • Report project status internally and externally and conducts reviews

  • Monitor capital spend and approve

  • Manage programme review meetings

  • Manage suppliers & customers; feasibility reviews and feedback

  • Manage Engineering changes

  • Maintain all PM relevant data

  • Review lessons learned from previous/similar programmes

  • Support early launch production containment actions

  • Successful closure of Project

The Person


  • Minimum 4 years experience as a Project Manager within a Tier 1 automotive environment

  • Experience dealing with multiple customers at any one time

  • Experience dealing with multiple projects at any one time

  • RASIC Gateway

  • Budget Planning, Cost Tracking experience

  • Ability to interrogate dimensional data incl knowledge of CRT, SC and CTQ elements.

  • Direct experience of APQP, PPAP, PSW (including Control Plans, PFMEA)

  • 8D Process, 5Y, Fishbone, Corrective action processes


  • Lean Manufacturing

  • Awareness of 5S disciplines

  • Multiple OEM management

  • University degree - ideally in engineering or business

The business are working with multiple OEMs currently and have a solid order book moving forward. They are great at internally developing their employees through training and promoting internally. The business is looking for a project manager who can hit the ground running.
