Are you looking for a new quantity surveying opportunity working for a growing M&E sub-contractor?

I am looking to speak with Project Quantity Surveyors who are located in or close to Birmingham who have experience working on mechanical and electrical commercial projects. This opportunity is excellent for someone who is looking to gain further experience working for a tier 2 M&E sub contractor on commercial projects and in doing so, will help them to move through the quantity surveying ranks.

The client:

The client which I am currently representing is a tier 2 mechanical and electrical sub-contractor who are based close to Birmingham. This client specialises in commercial fit out projects such as warehouses and offices.

The business is turning over around £45M and are looking to surpass this in 2022 with their order book already growing. The client is also able to offer a flexible working from home allowance from 2/3 days per week.

Job Role:

• Assisting with VO's

• Monitoring of change with the scope of works

• Preparing and issuing of contract documents through the supply chain.

• Liaise with the client, main contractor and other departments.

• Provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates.

• Produce accurate monthly reports and attend financial and project review meetings as required.

Personal Specification:

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveying.

• Two or three years' experience working as a Project M&E QS

• Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and negotiate with clients on a professional level.

• Experience working on Fit-Out projects

• Experience working on projects valuing around the £5M-£10M mark.
