Quality Coordinator - Manufacturing

My client is based in the Yorkshire area and is an industry leading textiles manufacturer. They are looking to recruit a Quality Coordinator to join their growing team.

THE ROLE

Reporting into the Quality Manager, as a Quality Coordinator you will be controlling and monitoring Quality issues and ensuring that all internal quality functions comply with customer quality standards.

  • Identify quality improvements and assist with their implementation to find long term solutions

  • To ensure that tests are performed on all incoming goods by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests

  • Quality checks performed either on a routine basis or as per special requirement for all production activities

  • To keep measuring equipment operating by following the regulating instructions and reporting to your manager if there is a problem

  • To provide assistance with customer complaint and non-conformance investigations

  • To provide assistance with internal audit processes

  • Assistance with the preparation of datasheets and accurate recording of all checks performed

  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations

  • Clear communication of all activities to ensure full understanding of outcome of tests performed and explanation of findings

  • To support the team with any other tasks commensurate with the role

THE PERSON

The successful Quality Coordinator will have:

  • Minimum 1 years in a Quality Inspection role

  • Experience working with suppliers

  • Experience with customer complaints / investigations

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment

  • Good verbal and written skills

  • Good computer skills - Microsoft, Word, Excel
