Quality Director

We are currently looking for a driven Quality Director for a prestigious Aerospace business based in the

North West.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director, as Quality Director you will have full autonomy for the management and leadership of a team of around 10 Quality Engineers. The responsibility covers everything from;

  • achieving productivity targets, quality levels,

  • ensuring exemplary health and safety of your team and delivering all this at the minimum costs

  • The main focus for this role is to be responsible for driving Lean and Continuous Improvement activity across the business

  • Train, coach and engage employees in lean thinking and methodologies

  • In order to deliver business improvements and ensure key deliverables are met and exceeded wherever possible

  • They are looking for someone to improve all Quality systems and look after the aftersales and warranty too

The Person

It is essential that candidates have:

  • Experienced in working in an Aerospace environment and used to dealing with demanding OEM customers

  • Experience of working in an Aerospace or fast paced manufacturing environment

  • At least 5 years in a Senior Quality position

  • An understanding of basic improvement techniques

  • Experience of using LEAN tools

  • The ability to prioritise workloads and volumes

  • Lead auditing experience

  • Improving Quality System

Ideally candidates should be:

  • Educated to degree level

  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt accreditation
