We are currently looking for a driven Quality Engineer for a prestigious automotive business in the Sunderland area.

THE ROLE

• Supporting Key customer meeting requirements.

• Tracking and monitoring of Key Warranty Metrics

• Presentation and feedback to customers on quality concerns and corrective actions

• Understand and comply with Customer Specific Requirements

• Monitor supplier quality and provide rapid response for any quality problems.

• Analyse customer returns, prepare 8D reports, assure implementation and verification of corrective/preventative actions.

• Managing a team of technicians on site

THE PERSON

• Experience working in a fast paced Automotive environment

• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

• Experience with QMS including IATF16949, TS, ISO9001 & ISO14001

• Use initiative to manage own work activities;

• Good interpersonal and communication skills;

• HNC level or above in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent experience within a quality role

• Experience liaising with customers and suppliers within the automotive industry

• Knowledge of Quality core tooling including PPAP, 8D's, SPC, Pareto, Ishikawa.
