This is a business that has recently gone through a period of restructure. This has opened up new areas for development for existing members of staff, as well as creating space for new employees. As such, the business is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the company.
The Quality Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. The key purpose of the role is to ensure that products are manufactured according to established quality standards and that customer requirements are met.
As a Quality Engineer, other duties will include the following;
Performing internal and external quality audits against a range of standards- ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 and other regulatory requirements
Coordinating customer complaint investigations, customer return surveys and liaising with other departments to ensure complaint resolution.
Introducing continuous improvement techniques in all areas of the company and monitoring their effectiveness.
Maintaining and managing the QMS documentation and procedures
As a Quality Engineer, carry out root cause investigation
The ideal Quality Engineer will need to have strong communication skills and be comfortable working within a high performing team.
Degree qualified in a Technical/ Engineering based subject (desirable)
Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt qualified (desirable)
Manufacturing experience - automotive / fast paced manufacturing
Experienced within Lean Tools
Knowledge of automotive quality tools (PPAP's, APQP, FMEA's, G8D Corrective Action process, etc.)
