Quality Engineer

Warrington / Bolton / Manchester / Blackburn / Wigan

£40,000 - £45,000 + Pension + Benefits

This is a business that is going through a period of significant growth and has genuine opportunities for progression and development. They are investing heavily in their systems and facilities and as such, is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the company.

The Role

The Quality Engineer will work closely with the Quality & CI Manager and will involve dealing with risk mitigation, process improvement and new product risk assessment. As a Quality Engineer, other duties will include the following;

  • Performing internal and external quality audits against a range of standards- ISO 9001/ ISO 14001 and other regulatory requirements

  • Coordinating customer complaint investigations, customer return surveys and liaising with other departments to ensure complaint resolution.

  • Introducing continuous improvement techniques in all areas of the company and monitoring their effectiveness.

  • Maintaining and managing the QMS documentation and procedures

  • As a Quality Engineer, carry out root cause investigation

The Person

The ideal Quality Engineer will need to have strong communication skills and be comfortable working within a high performing team.

  • Degree qualified in a Technical/ Engineering based subject (desirable)

  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt qualified (desirable)

  • Gage R&R experience (desirable)

  • Manufacturing experience - automotive / aerospace

  • Experienced within Lean Tools

  • FMEA

  • Knowledge of SPC i.e. Mini Tab
