We are currently looking for an experienced quality engineer for our client who specialise within the automotive sector. This role is based in Liverpool and is paying between £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

The Role

You will be responsible for managing and delivering quality requirements to support all plant and customer specific requirements. Other responsibilities include:

• Manage identified personnel within the quality team focusing on mentoring, developing and coaching others
• Ensure accurate reporting of pre-determined measurable for plant / customers within an agreed timeframe
• Feedback to customers quality concerns
• Understand and comply to customer specific requirements
• Monitor supplier quality and provide rapid response for any quality problems
• Analyse customer returns, prepare 8D reports assure implementation and verification of corrective/preventative actions

The Person

• HNC level or above in a science or engineering discipline or equivalent experience within a quality role

• Experience with liaising with customers and suppliers within the automotive industry

• Experience with IATF16949 / ISO9001 would be of an advantage

• Experience of automotive quality tools techniques and systems such as PPAP and 8Ds
