We are currently looking for a driven Senior Quality Engineer for a prestigious Tier 1 Automotive business based in Leeds with a competitive salary. The business have a market leading product and supply globally in to a number of OEMs.

MAIN DUTIES/KEY TASKS:

  • Responsible for ensuring Process Flows, SOP's, Work Instructions meet company standards

  • Review and ascertain Supplier and Customer PPAP Approval

  • Liaising with customers to provide support/ advice

  • Support the Purchasing function to manage and provide assistance to sub-tiers

  • Support the QA Department with 2nd / 3rd Party Audits

  • Review of standards / specifications and client requirements

  • Implement and maintaining the relevant management systems / processes and measurements in order to be compliant to requirements

  • Producing submission timing plans and implementing product quality samples

  • Work with cross-functional teams to generate Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans (MITP), lead PFMEA's and control plans to mitigate process and manufacturing risks

  • Implementation and management of all APQP/PPAP activities, all APQP/PPAP documentation must comply withIATF/VDA6.3 and remain auditable at all times

  • Candidates without experience if IATF in the Automotive industry will not be considered.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and application of quality tools such as PFMEA, RCA, 8D, SPC, Control Plans, PPAP/PSW, IMDS, etc. Essential

  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications

  • Determined and proactive approach;

  • Excellent knowledge of QMS inclusing ISO9001:2015 & IATF16949

  • Ideally IATF Lead auditor
