Automotive Quality Engineer

Telford

We are currently looking for a skilled Quality Engineer for a prestigious Automotive business based in Telford, paying between £38,000 - £42,000. The business have a market leading product with a global customer base and are looking to bring someone into their successful engineering team immediately.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Quality Manager you will be part of a team running the department of Quality. Key responsibilities for the Quality Engineer will include

  • ISO/ IATF Audits

  • Plan and manage workload within Quality Department

  • 8D problem solving

  • Route Cause Analysis

  • PPAP, APQP, PSW, FMEA

  • Health & Safety

  • drive within the Manufacturing Operation towards World Class Manufacturing Performance levels

  • Working to resolve quality issues, identify and introduce containment actions to support and maintain build quality

  • The identification, containment & resolution of quality problem

  • Monitor root cause analysis, liaising with Quality Department to prevent reoccurrence

THE PERSON:

ESSENITAL

  • HNC or above in an Engineering Subject

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and measurments

  • Prior experience in a customer facing roel (Ideally with JLR or Aston Martin)

  • PPAP/ PSW

  • Ability to engage people & deliver results through others

  • Effective Communicator

  • Report Writing

  • Health & Safety requirements

  • Lean Thinking

  • Understand a wide range of Manufacturing Processes

DESIRABLE

  • APQP experience

  • Degree Qualified

THE COMPANY:

Our client is a global manufacturer and Tier 1 supplier within the automotive sector with a full order book for the foreseeable future. They work with some of the majoy car manufacturers in the UK.
