Senior Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for a driven Senior Quality Engineer for a Tier 1 Aerospace business based in near Chester. As part of their long-term commitment to quality and continued growth, they are looking to recruit an additional member of their team.

The Role

Oversight of all Quality Assurance and Control within Hydraulics and Electronics area of the business. You will be managing a small team and other responsibilities will include:

  • Manage of all Quality activity

  • reporting to the Quality Director

  • Investigations using full Quality tool box

  • 8D, corrective action and other techniques to effectively analyse problem root causes and prevent recurrence

  • Review and develop PPAP and FAIR programs as required

  • Meet customer requirement s

  • Manage supplier Quality issues

  • Liaise with other sites as required

  • AS9100 internal audits

  • Provide support to external stakeholder Quality audits

  • Quality plan definition and development

  • Achieving productivity targets, quality levels

  • Exemplary health and safety of your team and delivering all this at the minimum costs

  • Train, coach and engage employees in lean thinking and methodologies, in order to deliver business improvements and ensure key deliverables are met and exceeded wherever possible

The Person

ESSENTIAL

  • Aerospace/AS9100/ Rev D experience

  • Minimum 5 years' Quality experience

  • Used to dealing with demanding OEM customers

  • Lead Auditor trained

  • Experience of using LEAN tools

  • Full Quality Tool Box

  • Hydraulics / electronics

  • Customer focussed

DESIRABLE

  • Implementation of QMS

  • Hydraulics / electronics
