Quality Manager -Automotive

£50,000 - £55,000 + Car + Bonus

We are currently looking for a Quality Manager for a prestigious Global Manufacturer business based in the Oxfordshire,

area. The business have a market leading product and supply globally in to a number of OEMs.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager as Quality Manager you will have full autonomy for the management and leadership of a team of around 6 Quality Engineers. Duties include:

  • To maintain relevant ISO/TS/IATF System Certifications

  • To eliminate Product Quality issues causing SCR and Product Returns.

  • Reduce supplier component quality reject levels at assembly line side by 50%

  • Lead the project to introduce a No Faults Forward ststem into assembly areas, with dull traceability on gas and electric component part number/ product serial number and component batch code information

  • Lead the project to integrate ISO 14001, 50001 and ISO 9001, whilst ensuring that individual certification is maintained.

  • Manage the transition from TS16949 to IATF in line with agreed timescales to ensure ongoing certification.

  • Lead the programme of work to deliver a 99% RFT (Right First Time) performance for in house manufacturing/ assembly areas.

  • To ensure that products manufactured at the site are produces in accordance with our Engineering Specifications

The Person

  • At least 3 years of managing Quality teams.

  • An understanding of basic improvement techniques

  • Experience of using LEAN tools

  • The ability to prioritise workloads and volumes

  • Experience and good knowledge of TS/ IATF:16949

  • Candidates without experience if TS/IATF16949 in the Automotive industry will not be considered.

  • HNC or above in a Engineering subject

  • Ability to engage people & deliver results through others Effective Communicator Time Management and Report Writing

  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements, Lean thinking and understand a wide range of Manufacturing Processes
