NEW & EXCLUSIVE - RELIABILITY ENGINEER - 6 MONTH CONTRACT - MANCHESTER - food/fmcg manufacturing
Working as part of the technical and reliability team alongside the area planning engineer. The role is to assess all critical process and packaging equipment, ensuring required critical spares are available. Preventative maintenance plans are in place and effective. And defined procedures are in place for when equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
Champion safe working practice ensuring works carried out under the control of the engineer meets current legislation and company standards
Ensure works carried out under the control of the engineer meet all current quality and food safety legislation and company standards
Manage the routine maintenance of equipment in the plant to ensure the safe, reliable running of the equipment in the engineers designated area
Work closely with the operations to ensure alignment of priorities
Support the plant operations team to resolve equipment issues impacting plant performance
Collaborate with the operations management and supervision to ensure the craft shift/day teams have appropriate training and development plans to enable them to maintain and repair the equipment in their area.
Work closely with area maintenance engineers to assess critical equipment.
Collaborate with engineering stores to ensure critical spares are available.
Evaluate, create, change preventative maintenance tasks for critical equipment.
Ensure defined procedures are in place for critical equipment replacement or repair activities and are trained out to maintenance team.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
Educated to a minimum HNC experience with a degree advantageous
Reliability engineering experience within the food industry. Good organizational and planning skills with the flexibility to adapt to operational priorities
Ability to lead, coach and motivate a team on a day to day basis
Able to communicate at all levels within the plant environment
Computer literate with a thorough understanding of SAP and Microsoft Office software applications
