Sales Director



My client is looking for a Sales Director to create and lead the Aerospace Sales business strategy.

The Role
Responsibilities include:

  • Develop a new Global Sales and Marketing strategy to support growth

  • Develop and maintain commercial procedures to ensure continuous improvement

  • Secure new business opportunities

  • Market research - monitor and evaluate competitor landscape

  • Foresee and avoid stagnation

  • Prepare and make presentations to internal and external management

  • Travel - international and national - to visit customers, manufacturers, professional organisations and industry events

  • Provide leadership to the Business Development team

The Person
It is essential you have -

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience

  • Relevant Engineering qualification - HNC/Engineering degree/Apprenticeship

  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar commercial role within the Automotive and Aerospace industries

  • Proven track record of securing new business

  • Ability to read and interpret customer data, drawings, part lists and specifications

  • Advance MS Office Skills

  • Full UK driving license with a flexible approach to frequent travel - including overseas

The Company

This role is based out of the North West and you will be expected to be in the office when not travelling/visiting customers.Taking the lead of implementing and rolling out new ideas, the right candidate will be experienced working in a Sales role across the Aerospace sector.
