They have a wide variety of exciting projects and can look at skilled engineers to fill gaps in various areas of the business (Powertrain/ engines/ EV Technology/ polymers). The Role

The senior Design engineer will be a senior member of the existing team and will be supporting key project for the business. Key duties will include;

• Specification components to develop systems in line with project requirements
• Developing technical plans based on research ideas
• Designing products based on the requirements of the company
• Carrying out surveys on equipment and various mechanical systems
• Presenting design plans to Managers and clients
• Producing technical documents that the company requires
• Conducting product testing
• As Design Engineer, Overseeing quality control programmes and overall maintenance in a facility
• Developing CAD project drawings and reviewing drawings from junior team members for accuracy

The Person

The ideal Design Engineer will be career driven and highly motivated. Key criteria required for the role will be:

• 3 years+ Design Engineering experience
• Experienced within either machine/ engine/ automotive OR Plastic/ Polymer industries (or similar)
• Have a positive can do attitude
• Be competent with systems and procedures of the department e.g. CAD / SOPs
• Be capable of working from engineering brief as well as arrangement models
• Capable of presenting engineering solutions to the wider team
• Degree in relevant mechanical engineering field would be preferred
