Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Contract 12 months: £30 - £34hr

My client is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with a real hunger to improve and grow within their company. It is a perfect opportunity for a candidate looking for work within the industry and critical environments, with a view to role progression.

The client is an award winning professional building services consultancy, specialising in mechanical, electrical and environmental engineering, who have done projects in commercial, residential and data centres. A strong sustainability approach and their reputation has grown over the years as a result of continued high profile, high quality projects. The successful design engineer will be working closely with one of the Directors, delivering on some of the most exciting projects in the industry.

Responsibilities

• You will Lead and support the electrical teams working on projects

• Design, manage, test and commission electrical projects

• Perform complex electrical system design utilising software packages such as ETAP and Amtech

• Develop relationships with existing and new clients with a view to generating sales

• Compile and lead client presentations.

• Represents the company well in technical meetings with professional teams and contractor teams

• Thorough checking of designs and specifications

Requirements

• Ideally will hold a relevant degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

• Proven experience as an electrical design engineer with expertise gained working on critical environment developments.

• Either hold CEng status or be on route to gaining

• Experienced in the use of calculation software such as ETAP and / or Amtech

• Experience in residential, commercial and leisure.
