I am currently looking to speak with senior mechanical & electrical quantity surveyors who are open to new contract opportunities working on large commercial projects based in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading client on large commercial projects.

This is an urgent opportunity and interviews will be starting immediately.

The client:

This client is a market leader within the construction industry and are currently handling a large mechanical & electrical package on a very prestigious project based in Cambridge. This client's turnover is in the billions and they are looking to bring in some contracted help in order to get the project over the line.

Job Role:

• Assisting with VO's.

• Monitoring of change with the scope of works.

• Preparing and issuing of contract documents through the supply chain.

• Liaise with the client, main contractor and other departments.

• Provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates.

• Produce accurate monthly reports and attend financial and project review meetings as required.

• Trunking & cabling.

• Running a team of 2 or 3 quantity surveyors.

• Variations.

Personal Specification:

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Quantity Surveying.

• Mechanically bias or excellent mechanical knowledge.

• 5 years' experience working as an M&E QS looking for the next step or Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor experience.

• Bespoke contracts experience.

• Strong communication skills and being able to communicate and negotiate with clients on a professional level.

• Proactive.

• Commercial experience.

• BMS Control experience.
