Title: Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor

Location: London (Kings Cross)

Day Rate: £400 - £430

6 months +

Core Talent are working with a Tier 2 M&E subcontractor and are looking for a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join them on an exciting rail project in Central London handling a package value currently at £4m.

Your role:

  • Prepare and continually update Cash flows detailing Cost v Sales

  • Manage package value currently at approximately £4m

  • Prepare and value loss and expense claims should they be required.

  • Prepare and finalise a final account for the project for the Commercial Manager/Project Manager review.

  • Report on internal progress and delays that might affect the project schedule

  • Assist with the identification, measurement and specification of any additional works or variations.

  • Working with the project manager/project engineering team carry out front end cost benchmarking /pre-award negotiation and final letting.

  • Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and /or sub-contractors.

  • Ensure that all required internal project documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

You will have:

  • Qualifications in Quantity Surveying.

  • Previous experience of working within an M&E contractor environment is preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of forms of contract currently used within rail, particularly Network Rail.

  • Experience working within rail is ideal.

  • Competent IT skills

  • Demonstrable ability to work well within a team or autonomously
