About the Role

As a Senior Project Planner, within your role, you will be in control of Project Management support of multi-disciplined, multi-sector project delivery work by facilitating the Planning, Scheduling and Controlling processes as a Planning Manager. It will entitle advising, supporting and clear communication of fact-based answers to key management questions. This will aid in intelligent and effective decision making and must escalate and flag internally to the Lead Planner (& Planning & Risk Manager) immediately where there is risk to our client.

The Role

* As a Planning Manager the roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following

* Providing a high quality of service to the project manager as well as manage, mentor and provide guidance to planners/ juniors as required. You will be required to track and highlight requirements to review contract documentation.

* Optimise build schedule & develop "Pinch Pint Register" identifying where we are not in agreement with Main Contractors / CMT schedule

* Ensuring that the schedule is "Labour Loaded" and aligned with the Commercial Department Budgets - highlight any weeks where large progress is forecasted to PM's, Lead Planner & Planning Manager

* Providing clear communication of early warnings to project management teams obtained from progress reports and knowledge of project field conditions and advising project teams on ways to improve performance

* Progress Measuring / recording & collating actual installation progress for installation progress reporting and escalation of risk items to Lead Planner & Planning & Risk Manager

The Person

* Will be required to have a 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying or strong trades background coupled with technical ability may be considered

* 5+ years' experience to be able to demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans

* Must have the capability of producing project plans from design and commercial information

* Coordinate the development of multiple project plans

* Must be confident in using Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools

* Excellent time management skills to apply during busy schedules.
