Senior Quality Engineer

THE ROLE:

Reporting to (and deputising for) the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing quality activities for both engineering and manufacturing disciplines with the emphasis on; error prevention, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, legislation, regulation, international standards adherence and the reduction of variation and waste in all elements of the product lifecycle. This will range from initial development phases through prototyping to production and the life cycle of the product. Understanding of new product introduction processes is required, as is Conformity of Production requirements

THE CANDIDATE:

ESSENTIAL

• In-depth knowledge of AS9100

• Management experience is desirable

• Internal Audit experience to AS9100

• Establish meaningful KPIs

• Ability to establish and interpret metrics from both manufacturing and laboratory perspective

• Prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Customer facing

• Able to comprehend complex manufacturing operations

• Read engineering drawings & customer specifications

DESIRABLE

• LEAN and/or Six Sigma experience
