Title: Senior Rail Quantity Surveyor

Location: London (Moorgate)

Day Rate: £400 - £430

12 month contract +

Core Talent are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor (rail) to join a well-known tier 1 M&E Subcontractor with a turnover in excess of £50m on a number of significant rail projects across London.

Due to the nature of the work, it is essential to have previous rail experience. Mechanical and Electrical experience is also beneficial to the role.

Your role:

  • Prepare and continually update Cash flows detailing Cost v Sales

  • Prepare and value loss and expense claims should they be required.

  • Prepare and finalise a final account for the project for the Commercial Manager/Project Manager review.

  • Report on internal progress and delays that might affect the project schedule

  • Assist with the identification, measurement and specification of any additional works or variations.

  • Working with the project manager/project engineering team carry out front end cost benchmarking /pre-award negotiation and final letting.

  • Preparation and issue of contractual letters to clients and /or sub-contractors.

  • Ensure that all required internal project documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

You will have:

  • Quantity surveying qualifications are preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.

  • Has experience working on LU / TFL projects

  • Experience of operating at senior level.

  • 3 years minimum Rail Quantity Surveying experience

  • Regularly manages project from pre-construction to final account
